I fell in love with dance as a three-year-old while watching dance TV shows with my mom. After begging her to take me to a dance class, she finally signed me up at my local studio, Flash Pointe Dance, in Connecticut at the age of seven. I thrived at my studio and loved every single moment surrounded by an inspiring and caring faculty. After years of competing, I decided to begin dancing in New York City at Kanyok Arts Initiative, where I could train surrounded by others who also wanted to pursue a career in dance.
My favourite styles of dance are contemporary, ballet, and musical theatre because I have always felt that I can truly express who I am while dancing in these genres. The music takes me on an amazing journey where I can be myself and fly free.
The most incredible experience of my life and career was being a contestant on Season 3 of “World Of Dance” on NBC. It was so surreal to share my love of dance with the entire world and to perform on such an amazing platform in front of millions of people. The feedback and love that I received from fans were absolutely mind-blowing, and the exposure from the show has changed my life. I formed such strong friendships with all of the other contestants and created memories that I’ll never forget. As a little kid, I never would have guessed that one day I’d dance in front of Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and NE-YO!
Another incredible experience that changed my life was touring the United States with New York City Dance Alliance as their 2018 National Teen Male Outstanding Dancer. It was truly an honour to connect with and assist the industry’s top professionals on NYCDA faculty, and to perform in cities across the country! I love my NYCDA family, and they have such a special place in my heart. Additionally, I also competed in the 2018 Youth America Grand Prix Finals in NYC and had the honour of performing in the Final Round at Lincoln Center. Dancing next to some of the best ballet dancers in the world was an experience I’ll never forget.
